Balance Therapies is a partnership between Gwen Salmon (Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Massage, Reiki) and Mat Messom (Bsc Hons. Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Reiki), both highly qualified practitioners in their chosen field.

Holistic medicine is a term used to describe therapies that treat the patient as a whole person, i.e. instead of treating an illness, as in orthodox medicine, holistic medicine looks at an individual's overall physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being before recommending treatment.
This is because the body's systems are seen as interdependent parts of the whole. It's natural state is one of health, dis-ease being an imbalance of this state.
